Newport Residence

Enhanced by the presence of beautiful sandstone walls and limestone flooring, this project introduced an element of softness to these robust surfaces, fulfilling the client's desire for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Our solution involved the installation of minimalistic, flush-mounted plaster lights that seamlessly melded into the ceilings, achieving a harmonious integration with the building's architecture. This approach ensured that the lighting design complemented the structural features rather than diverting attention from them.

Throughout the house, our carefully placed downlights were designed to accentuate the charred and natural oak timbers featured in various joineries. We also extended our lighting strategy to illuminate the captivating artworks gracing the interiors.

To maintain this cohesive concept, we implemented seamless low-level plaster lights in hallways, creating an illuminated journey that guides one through the space. Additionally, we devised a unique stair lighting solution using discreet pin lights concealed within the stone walls, allowing light to gently diffuse, generating a source-free and ethereal glow along the staircase.
