Manly Project

In this tranquil coastal residence located on the northern beaches, the client's vision was to embrace a minimalist aesthetic while incorporating the natural timber elements. To achieve a seamless ambiance, plaster downlights were deemed ideal. Though traditionally installed in plaster ceilings, we demonstrated our expertise by seamlessly integrating gypsum fixtures into the feature timber ceilings. This innovative approach maintained the uninterrupted flow of the timber panels while eliminating any visual intrusion from the light fixtures.

The breathtaking ocean view was a key focal point, and we aimed to enhance, rather than divert attention from it. As a result, we elegantly complemented the timber interior elements with an up-and-down linear pendant light positioned above the kitchen island. This pendant served both functional and atmospheric lighting purposes, crafted from raw timber to harmoniously merge with the surrounding aesthetics.

Our aim was to create an inviting ambiance in the garden through to the the pool deck, which serves as the central focal point. We achieved this by delicately illuminating planter features and gently casting light across pathways, providing a soothing and understated mood through low-level lighting.
